Also known as The Hollywood Peel, due to its minimal post-treatment downtime, this treatment refreshes and rejuvenates the skin to reveal a healthy glow.

The Carbon Laser Peel is an exfoliating and resurfacing facial treatment that uses activated carbon powder and advanced Q-switch XLase lasers to improve many skin concerns and conditions.

How does it work?

The Carbon Laser Peel exfoliates the skin four times deeper than a traditional peel, yet it is a non-invasive treatment.

Encouraging the skin’s own natural production of collagen, it helps improve skin tone and texture, reducing the signs of ageing such as fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation and even scarring. Particularly effective for problem skin, due to its ability to remove blackheads, debris and clogged pores.

Add to the exfoliation the benefits of the laser energy, which work in two ways to target melanin (pigmentation) to enable your body to remove it naturally and heat the dermis, causing the skin to contract and stimulate collagen production, this really is an impressive treatment.

What happens during the treatment?

Every treatment at The Mulberries Aesthetics & Beauty begins with a detailed consultation to enable your therapist to create a treatment plan and ensure you get the most out of your appointment.

Treatment begins with a layer of liquid carbon being applied to the skin. This penetrates deep into the pores. Laser light is then applied, which is highly attracted to the carbon particles, destroying the carbon and taking dead skin cells, debris, contaminants and excess oil with it. Your eyes are protected from the laser light at all times.

You will hear some ‘zapping’ noises as the laser passes over the skin, but you won’t feel anything more than a little pinch or tingling sensation.

The next part of the treatment involves a hoover, which is used to suck up the carbon particles and unwanted debris to reveal a cleaner, clearer, smoother and brighter complexion.

Results

Skin is softer, smoother, clearer and brighter immediately after treatment, with improved results following a course of treatments. Your skin will feel amazing and you can enjoy a renewed radiance!

What are the side-effects?

This is a completely safe and effective treatment. Skin may look a little red directly after your appointment, and you may feel some tingling and tightness, but there aren’t any post-treatment side-effects. You can return to your normal daily activities straight away.

We do however recommend that skin is kept clear (no makeup) for a few hours after treatment and that you avoid sun exposure of extreme heat (sauna or steam rooms).
