What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal Fillers are injections that are used to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and restore volume. They provide a fresher, more youthful appearance and can be used to improve areas of the body such as the face, neck and hands. The substance injected into the skin is made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA) a substance that is also naturally found in the body. Hyaluronic Acid attracts water to the skin, providing ongoing hydration, restoration, elasticity and suppleness benefits, improving skin tone and texture.
At Mulberries Aesthetics & Beauty we can use Dermal Filler Injections to provide lip enhancement, jawline definition and cheek sculpture. They can also be used to improve the appearance of smokers’ lines, tear troughs and nose to mouth lines.

When will results first start to be visible?
Initial improvements will be visible immediately, with continued improvement over the weeks following treatment.
How long will the result last?
Generally, results can last anywhere between 9 – 15 months but this will depend on the area/s treated. A more accurate indication can be provided at your consultation.
Are Dermal Filler Injections painful?
As with any injectable treatment, you may feel some mild discomfort but a numbing cream is applied prior to your treatment and our fillers include an anaesthetic mixed in with the Hyaluronic Acid to ensure treatment is as comfortable as possible.
What side effects are associated with Dermal Fillers?
Most people don’t experience any side effects after Dermal Filler Injections, but it may take up to 2 weeks for the treated area/s to fully recover. You may experience some redness, bruising and swelling but this usually subsides within 5 days. In rare cases, clients could experience an allergic reaction, lumps, bumps, or occlusion. You will receive post-treatment guidance so you know exactly what to expect following your filler injections.
