Laser Tattoo Removal
Laser Tattoo Removal at Mulberries Aesthetics & Beauty is a safe and effective way to remove unwanted tattoos.
If you’ve ever regretted a tattoo, then it’s really easy to rid yourself of something you no longer want with our laser tattoo removal treatment.
Most tattoos require a course of 6 – 8 treatments for best results, but some can take a little longer depending on the size, colour, age and location of the tattoo and the type of ink used. You will need to allow 6 – 8 weeks between treatments and the length of each session may vary. We can provide a more accurate estimate once we’ve viewed the tattoo.
FAQs & Pricing
-
How does it work? Open Close
We can safely remove the tattoo by applying intense light to the pigment to break up the ink, turning it into tiny particles. After several treatments, your body will break down and naturally remove the pigment, resulting in the visible tattoo fading.
-
Is it safe? Open Close
Yes! We only offer safe treatments here at The Mulberries Aesthetics & Beauty. The laser energy is selectively absorbed by the tattoo ink only, ensuring that the surrounding tissues are not affected and therefore no damage is done to the skin.

Does it hurt? Open Close
Sadly, this is not a pain free treatment, but most people find it perfectly bearable. It can feel like a series of pin pricks being applied to the skin in rapid succession. You may experience a warm, prickly feeling.

Post-Treatment Advice Open Close
The treated area may appear to show a superficial burn wound. Sometimes the area whitens, and you may experience some bruising, swelling, blistering (which is very common) and scabbing.
It is important to keep the treated area clean and dry while it heals. If necessary, it can be washed with mild soap and water and patted dry. Only apply ointment to the area once any blisters have burst. Avoid picking and shaving while the area heals.
Itching is common due to the skin being dehydrated by the laser. An Aquaphor, Vitamin E or Hydrocortisone cream can be used to gently moisturise. It is important to protect the treated area from sun exposure with an SPF 30 or higher for at least the first 48 hours after treatment.
Whilst you can shower 2 hours after treatment, try to avoid high pressure water being directly applied to the treated area. You must avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming pools, hot tubs, steam rooms, etc until it has completely healed.
Exercise is generally safe providing you’ve followed all other aftercare instructions.
If the area looks infected, showing signs of a honey-coloured crusting or oozing, or you can see a spreading redness, you must contact a medical professional for advice straight away.
Healing usually takes around 4 – 8 weeks. Scarring can occur but is very rare. Loss of pigment can also occur but is temporary in most cases. Your immune system and aftercare will affect how well your treatment heals.
